SpaceX Starship has reached a new historic milestone. This time, the space company managed to capture the Super Heavy booster from its Starship rocket as it returned to the launch pad in South Texas. This development comes a few months after the space company completed the first successful splashdown of the Starship rocket and marks the fifth test flight of the Starship rocket.

The mission began at 7:25 a.m. local time from the Boca Chica spaceport, with the Starship rocket lifting off under clear skies. The rocket will be 121 meters tall when fully assembled. During  launch, the Super Heavy booster separated from the upper stage at an altitude of 65 kilometers. The upper stage then reached a height of about 145 kilometers and circled the Earth at a speed of about 27,500 kilometers per hour. After accomplishing its objective, the upper stage successfully launched into the Indian Ocean.

As the Super Heavy booster re-entered the atmosphere, it ignited three  Raptor engines to slow it down and lined up for  landing on the launch pad. The “Mechazilla” was used in this recovery process. A large mechanical arm on the launch ramp structure is intended to catch the descending booster and hold it firmly on the launch ramp. This is a big step. It is the first time that spacex launch today has successfully performed such an operation, and if this success continues,

it will significantly increase the reusability of rocket parts. It will also allow the rocket to return directly to the launch site instead of landing on a distant platform or in the ocean. It will also reduce the time needed to overhaul and prepare the rocket for future launches.

A spokesperson said, “Followers, today is a day for the engineering history books.” “The tower  caught the rocket!!,” SpaceX founder Elon Musk posted on the social media platform where the booster was. Engineers have spent tens of thousands of hours  building  infrastructure to maximize the chances of success. ”

This happened after the upper stage encountered problems during atmospheric re-entry. After separating from the booster, Starship used improved thermal protection tiles to protect itself from the extreme temperatures created by atmospheric re-entry. The vehicle eventually landed successfully  in the Indian Ocean, but rolled over and exploded on impact with the water. It is unclear if the explosion was a controlled explosion, but Musk said the craft landed “on target.”

About SpaceX Starship Company

SpaceX, formally known as Space Exploration Technologies Corp., is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company headquartered in Hawthorne, California. Founded in 2002 by entrepreneur Elon Musk, SpaceX is known for its ambitious vision to make space travel more affordable and ultimately enable human settlement on Mars. The company has been at the forefront of several groundbreaking efforts in the space industry, including the Dragon spacecraft that carries cargo to the International Space Station and the Spacecraft for missions to Mars and beyond.

. The company’s Falcon 1, Falcon 9, and Falcon Heavy rockets have revolutionized space technology with the ability to re-land and reuse rocket boosters. If you’re passionate about space and want to take part in groundbreaking missions that will shape the future of interplanetary exploration, SpaceX rocket launch today offers a dynamic and innovative environment to fuel your ambition. Should you invest in SpaceX? While most investors can’t buy  SpaceX stock yet, there are some important considerations that interested parties should take into account before buying shares (assuming the company eventually goes ahead with an IPO). The two most important are profitability and valuation. Here we take a closer look at these two important investment factors.

Is SpaceX profitable?

SpaceX is not publicly traded, so it is not required to disclose its financial results. However, given the company’s popularity, it did release some financial data.

INC’s report  highlighted that the company recorded a profit of $3 billion  on revenue of $9 billion in 2023. This was a significant improvement from 2019, when the company reported a net loss of $501 million  on revenue of $1.5 billion.

SpaceX jobs are on track to be even more profitable in 2024. According to Payload’s data, the company’s revenue is expected to grow to more than $13 billion in 2024. This would increase the company’s profits by 50%, to about $4.5 billion.

These figures suggest that SpaceX stocks are very profitable. If the company can significantly increase its sales and profitability, it could be the fuel needed for a future surge in its stock price.
